Weekend Travels out East to Sag Harbor

A great town to visit out east is Sag Harbor.  During the summer months the area expands with folks from all over the Island and NYC. The Hamptons are a escape from the heat and humidity of the City.

Local fundraising efforts.

The American Hotel is a tough place to describe.  You really have to see it to feel it.  If you've been to the area you know what I mean.  It has a quintessential old feel while still retaining a bit of an active heartbeat around happy hour and dinner time.
There are plenty of beaches open to the public, while of course some are not.  Mecox beach proved to be a nice spot to relax.
Catching some of the last summer sunsets

Caught a couple ospreys nesting on Shelter Island.

A nice place to catch a sunset on Shelter Island is the Sunset Beach Hotel.

A great place to go stand up paddle boarding.
